Rebrand reflects company’s core mission: improving the planet by monitoring and mapping the world’s air.
Beijing, China (14 April, 2017) – The brand name “Kaiterra” is launched: the company behind the hugely popular Laser Egg air quality monitor officially announces a new focus, and to reflect this change the company will be operating worldwide under the brand name “Kaiterra” as of 14 April 2017.
The successful startup was formed by three partners in 2014; it has operated under the brand “Origins” since 2014.
Kaiterra intends to become the world’s premier air quality monitoring and mapping service.
Kaiterra creates high-accuracy air quality monitors for consumers, businesses and industrial use. The aggregate data generated by these devices is combined with government-collected data, weather models and satellite imagery to show, visually, how pollution is being created, how it is moving, and to identify specific sources. This information can then be used to take action and reduce pollution sources. The
result: skies that are bluer and a happier planet.
“We’re measuring pollution, yes, but our larger goal is to track and map and ultimately find and understand the sources of pollution so we can work to find ways to manage these. Our new name, Kaiterra, reflects this significant shift to precisely mapping the Earth’s air,” says Liam Bates, CEO and co-founder of this ambitious international project.
Kaiterra launch includes:
- a redesigned app, Kaiterra, which can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play Store in late April
- website www.Kaiterra.com, to accompany the adoption of the new brand and logo
In April 2017 Kaiterra is:
- launching Laser Egg 2
- launching an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign to finish product development and produce the first batch of the Laser Egg 2+, a high-end product to measure both PM2.5 and also TVOCs.
